Insulation:
At Border Insulators, we use a variety of insulating materials in sizes ranging from 1” – 20”. The most common type used is our wool fiber insulation, which is made from basalt, rock and slag, which results in a non-combustible product with a melting point of approximately 1177 o C. Underground and high temperature insulation is also available. The insulation is covered with .020 aluminum cladding secured with 3/4” stainless steel banding and screws. We ensure that the mechanical insulation requirements are met in a safe and cost effective manner.

Why Insulate? There are many reasons, but usually the number one reason is energy conservation. The following is a partial list of more reasons to insulate.

• Protect equipment
• Increase process efficiency
• Prevent condensation
• Prevent excess heat in fire hazard areas
• Maintain temperature
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• Improve process control and efficiency

Buildings:
At Border Insulators, our trained builders use thermal panels that have a high strength-to-weight ratio, superior moisture and rodent protection, and high insulating efficiency. Our buildings can be built to any size ranging from a 4’ x 7’ x 6’ to a 40’ x 40’ x 10’. They are available in a wide variety of finishes, including galvanized, aluminum, and colorful metal finishes. They have options such as a 2” polyurethane foam base under skid, 12” x 12” vents, ice racks, and more. Our buildings are ideal for temporary or permanent applications with easy relocation capabilities. With these premium designs, they house such equipment as:
